Seven zones to restore
Roof, walls, floor, stove, bed, bowl and window — each has a broken state and a restored one, and the room changes visibly as you go.

A cat found an abandoned hut. The rest is up to you.
A cat wanders into a hut nobody has lived in for years: the roof leaks, the stove is cold and there is not one warm place to sleep. From that first evening the house is his — and fixing it up is your job.
Happiness is the currency here, and you earn it by playing. Spend it on the house: patch the roof, scrub the floor, light the stove, put a bowl by the wall and a soft bed under the window. Every restored zone can then be repainted in the colour you like, so no two houses end up looking the same.

Any restored zone can be repainted at any time. Walls additionally get a choice of pattern, and every pattern works with every colour.
Send the cat out for a stroll and see what he brings home. Sometimes a fish, sometimes only a story about one.
A board duel with the house mice. Win and the house celebrates; lose and something you paid for breaks again.
A short quiz that pays out in happiness — a quiet way to earn without leaving the room.
